Historic Preservation at the Georgia Tech Academy of Medicine Building
An Inviting First Impression
We partnered with Winter Construction as part of a larger renovation project at the historic Georgia Tech Academy of Medicine. This beautiful venue is one of Atlanta’s most distinguished landmarks and hosts a variety of student-focused events, corporate conferences, and social gatherings.
The landscape portion of the project included removing old plants from the front of the building and installing new planting selections, mulch, and irrigation. We then completed the hardscape portion of the project, replacing the old brick pavers with beautiful red brick that complemented the charm of the building.
Precision Hardscape
For the hardcsaped walkway, we sourced Belden Regimental Red 8×8 brick pavers from Ryan Fields with Alley-Cassetty Brick & Stone. We first removed the old pavers and then installed the new pavers on a tight timeframe. Timing and attention to detail was imperative as this venue is always bustling with events.
The historic Georgia Tech Academy of Medicine is full of southern charm and rich details. The inviting landscape and entrance are a welcome upgrade for this important venue and fixture in the City of Atlanta. The end result is stunning!
