Landscape Transformation

Front Yard Landscape Transformation in Atlanta, GA

Reimagining the Front Landscape

The project began with a complete removal of the property’s aging and outdated landscaping. From there, our team worked to create a refined, low-maintenance landscape that complements the home’s architecture while adding year-round beauty and structure.

The renovation included:

  • Installation of a new Zeon Zoysia fine-blade lawn
  • Redesigned planting beds with clean, flowing lines
  • Slate insert walkways crafted from repurposed slate found on-site
  • A new irrigation system for efficient watering
  • A professionally designed landscape lighting system
  • A complete planting installation
  • Fresh brown cypress mulch throughout the landscape

Creating Structure Through Symmetry

One of the defining characteristics of this landscape is its use of symmetry. Balanced plantings, strong bed lines, and repeating forms create a sense of elegance that perfectly frames the home’s architecture.

The lush Zeon Zoysia lawn serves as the foundation of the design, bordered by more than 100 Wintergreen Boxwoods (Buxus sinica). This evergreen hedge establishes crisp definition while providing year-round structure.

Throughout the garden, carefully positioned American Boxwood Globes (Buxus sempervirens) create focal points that guide the eye and reinforce the landscape’s timeless design.

A Carefully Curated Plant Palette

Every plant was selected for its beauty, performance, and ability to thrive in Georgia’s climate while contributing to a cohesive design.

The landscape features:

  • Creeping Fig (Ficus pumila)
  • Lace Cap Hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla)
  • Wintergreen Boxwoods (Buxus sinica)
  • American Boxwoods (Buxus sempervirens)
  • Podocarpus Yew (Podocarpus macrophyllus)
  • Huntington Carpet Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
  • Blue Tuscan Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
  • Lenten Rose (Helleborus orientalis)
  • Shasta Daisy (Leucanthemum × superbum)
  • Autumn Fern (Dryopteris erythrosora)

Together, these plantings provide year-round interest through evergreen structure, seasonal blooms, varied textures, and layered color.

Built for Beauty and Ease of Maintenance

In addition to its visual impact, this landscape was designed with long-term performance in mind. The new irrigation system promotes healthy plant growth while minimizing maintenance, and the professionally installed landscape lighting extends the enjoyment of the garden into the evening hours while highlighting the home’s architectural features.

The result is a landscape that is as practical as it is beautiful.

Exceptional landscapes are the result of exceptional collaboration.
